Michael Whalen

Michael Whalen has a diverse range of work experience. Michael is currently the Head of Legal Ethics & Professional Responsibility at Withersworldwide since December 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Ropes & Gray LLP from 2016 to 2021, where they held roles such as Senior Intake & Compliance Attorney and Intake & Compliance Officer. Before that, they were an Associate at Morisi & Oatway, P.C. from 2015 to 2016, where they handled various aspects of business, real estate, and employment litigation. Michael also served as an Assistant District Attorney at the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office from 2014 to 2015, where they prosecuted criminal trials, argued motions, and conducted hearings. Earlier in their career, they worked at Fish & Richardson P.C. from 2003 to 2014, starting as a Records Clerk and eventually becoming a Lead Conflicts Specialist. Michael also had internships at Bose Corporation in 2012 and Gaglini Law Group LLC in 2011, where they gained experience in trademark and anti-counterfeiting issues, as well as legal research and writing.

Michael Whalen attended North Quincy High School from 1995 to 1999. Michael then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at Lehigh University from 1999 to 2003. Finally, they attended Suffolk University Law School from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
