Mia Waggoner

Head Engineer at WIUX

Mia Waggoner has a diverse range of work experience in the audio engineering field. In 2018, they worked as a Studio Intern at Jungle AE Recording Studio and also served as a Live Sound Engineer at Doozy, LLC. In these roles, they gained hands-on experience in recording and mixing live sessions, as well as providing live sound for events. Mia started their career as an Audio Technician at the African American Arts Institute in 2017, where they displayed their technical expertise. Additionally, they worked as a Stagehand at the Indiana University Auditorium during the same year. Currently, Mia holds the position of Head Engineer at WIUX, where they not only records and mixes live sessions and performances but also leads an engineering committee. Overall, Mia's work experience demonstrates their strong skills in audio engineering and their ability to adapt to different roles and environments.

Mia Waggoner attended Indiana University Bloomington from 2017 to 2021, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Audio Engineering and Sound Production. Additionally, they obtained the Pro Tools 2020 Certified Level 110 certification from Avid in January 2021, and the Dante Certification Level 2 from Audinate in November 2019.
