Itamar Gilad

Itamar Gilad is an experienced cybersecurity professional currently serving as Threat Detection Lead at Wiz since December 2022. Prior to this role, Itamar held various positions at Microsoft from April 2017 to December 2022, including Architecture and Security Lead, where responsibilities included overseeing architecture for large-scale data handling services and driving product growth through collaboration. During the tenure at Microsoft, Itamar also functioned as a Senior Program Manager, leading a platform for countering nation-state threats, and as a Senior Security Researcher/Tech Lead focused on improving defenses against cyber threats. Earlier experience includes co-founding Metapacket, a YCombinator cybersecurity startup, serving as Group Leader at the Prime Minister's Office managing advanced security research teams, and developing security solutions in the IDF.
