Chelsea Cooper

Chelsea Cooper, SHRM-SCP, has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Chelsea currently works at Wizards of the Coast as a Human Resources Manager (HRBP), where they are responsible for designing and managing global talent management programs, manager training programs, and new employee orientation. Prior to this, Chelsea worked at Amazon as a Human Resources Business Partner, where they supported a client group of over 900 employees and managed talent reviews, performance management, and employee relations. Chelsea also served as a Human Resources Program Manager at Amazon, where they implemented initiatives to decrease pay defects and improve cross-functional collaboration. Chelsea has also gained valuable experience at Starbucks, where they held multiple roles including Women's Impact Network Co-Chair and Human Resources Associate & Program Manager. Chelsea demonstrated their leadership skills by managing teams, setting goals, and driving impact in the development of DEI training programs and internships. Earlier in their career, Chelsea worked in various roles at organizations such as Seattle/King County Clinic, Optum, La Belle Elaine's Bridal Salon, IMG, Interfaith Alliance, and JusticeCorps Los Angeles, where they gained experience in volunteer management, marketing, operations, and legal services. Chelsea Cooper, SHRM-SCP, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from UCLA, which they obtained from 2005 to 2009. Prior to their college education, they attended Santa Rosa High School from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their academic achievements, Chelsea has obtained several certifications, including a Certificate in HR Ethics from HRCI in May 2023, a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation from SHRM in December 2022, and a certification in Mental Health First Aid from Mental Health First Aid Maryland in May 2019.
