Erik H. has a diverse range of experience in the design industry. Erik most recently worked as a Digital Art Director at Wizards of the Coast, where they guided the creative vision for Magic the Gathering's licensed partnerships across digital marketing channels. Erik managed relationships with licensors, stakeholders, and functional partners, as well as overseeing designers and vendors during the creative and approval processes.

Prior to that, Erik owned their own design company, HartleyWorking, where they served as a Design Professional. Erik also worked as a Franchise Creative Design Manager at Spin Master for a brief period.

Erik has had two stints at Hasbro, first as a Senior Graphic Designer from 2020-2022, where they conceptualized and executed branding and packaging design concepts for various properties, managed junior staff, and developed brand guides and assets for trade shows and digital initiatives. Erik later returned to Hasbro as a Packaging Designer from 2012-2012, where they conceptualized and executed design concepts for branding and packaging solutions for products like My Little Pony and Mr. Potato Head.

Additionally, Erik has experience as an Adjunct Professor of Design at the Academy of Art University from 2018-2020, where they taught design courses. Erik also worked as an Enterprise and Individual Marketing Designer at Lynda.com from 2012-2014, where they developed marketing assets for b2b and b2c communications.

Earlier in their career, Erik worked as a Senior Web Designer at Talbots from 2011-2012, where they elevated the design aesthetic of talbots.com and collaborated with project managers to deliver coding and visual resources. Erik also worked as a Packaging Designer at Hasbro from 2010-2011, where they conceptualized and executed design concepts for branding and packaging solutions for various product lines, including licensed products for Nickelodeon, Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars.

Erik H. pursued their education in the field of design starting from the year 2000 until 2005 at Western Michigan University, where they obtained their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree with a specialization in Graphic Design. Later, from 2010 to 2014, they attended the Academy of Art University and earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Web Design and New Media.
