Principal Visual Development Artist at Wizards of the Coast

Lake Hurwitz has a diverse work experience in the field of visual development and concept art. They began their career as a Freelance Illustrator for Fantasy Flight Games in 2010. In 2011, they worked as a Freelance Illustrator for Alderac Entertainment Group and as a Freelance Concept Artist for Volta. From 2012 to 2014, Lake worked as a Concept Artist at GREE, Inc., producing production artwork and illustrations for game assets. They then joined One Pixel Brush as a Concept Artist from 2014 to 2016. Lake worked as a Concept Artist at Monolith Productions (WB Games) from 2016 to 2017 before transitioning to Valve Corporation as a Freelance Concept Artist and Illustrator. Since 2017, they have been working as a Principal Visual Development Artist at Wizards of the Coast, starting as a Senior Concept Artist before moving into their current role. Throughout their career, Lake has also taken on various Freelance projects as a Concept Artist and Illustrator.

Lake Hurwitz attended Ringling College of Art and Design from 2006 to 2008, where they studied Illustration. Afterward, from 2008 to 2010, Lake attended The Safehouse Atelier, where they focused on Concept Art, Illustration, and Fine Art.
