Rory Tipton

Rory Tipton has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles and industries. Rory currently holds the position of Vice President of Finance at Wizards of the Coast, starting in November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Stripe as a Product Finance & Strategy professional from November 2020 to June 2022.

Before Stripe, Rory served as the Chief Financial Officer at Lazarus Naturals, where they were responsible for creating and implementing financial processes, managing cash flow, and overseeing financial statements. Rory also led the Human Resources and Information Technology functions and developed a technological strategy to support company growth. Rory held this role from March 2019 to July 2020.

With an extensive tenure at Amazon, Rory took on various positions and responsibilities. Rory was appointed as a Technical Advisor and Chief of Staff from November 2018 to March 2019, where they advised leadership and managed the organization's goals mechanism. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Manager of Program Management and Head of Strategic Planning and Analytics in the Consumer division.

In previous roles at Amazon, Rory was responsible for managing financial aspects of the FBA business, supporting high-growth retail businesses, and providing financial support for the launch of Amazon Third-Party platform in China. Rory joined Amazon in 2009 as a Senior Financial Analyst Intern in Customer Service.

Rory's earlier work experience includes working as an Environmental Engineer at R.W. Beck, where they conducted analyses, managed waste management operations, and presented findings to leadership.

Rory Tipton pursued higher education starting in 1996 at the University of Washington, where they studied Civil Engineering and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 2001. Later, from 2007 to 2009, they attended the University of Notre Dame - Mendoza College of Business, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance.
