John Najafi

John Najafi has a diverse work experience in the tech and startup industry. John is currently the Founder & CEO of Wizebank, a VC-backed FinTech startup focused on helping course creators manage and grow their businesses. Prior to this, they worked as an Associate at OMERS Ventures, a venture capital firm, and at Rhino Ventures, where they held the roles of Associate and Analyst. Rhino Ventures is the most active institutional early-stage investor in Western Canada.

Before their venture capital roles, John worked as a Research Assistant at Creative Destruction Lab - West, a seed-stage program for science and technology-based companies. John also worked at mimik technology inc. as a Business Operations & Strategy professional. mimik is a VC-backed startup that provides a platform to extend the cloud to the edge.

John Najafi's education history includes the attainment of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma from Bayview Glen. John then pursued higher education at The University of British Columbia, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree with a focus on Finance.
