Laurie Morrison is an experienced account executive at WJBF News Channel 6 since April 2004, where responsibilities include marketing and delivering local broadcast and digital marketing solutions to support business growth and developing sales strategies across various industry verticals. Prior to this role, Laurie served as an education manager at Junior Achievement of Georgia from January 2002 to March 2004, focusing on developing annual engagement plans with partner schools and managing volunteer needs. Laurie's career began as a career development specialist at Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA, where networking and career assessments were key responsibilities. Laurie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Advertising with a minor in Social Work from Augusta University, completed in 2000, and is a graduate of North Augusta High School, class of 1994.

WJBF NewsChannel 6 signed on in Augusta, Georgia as an ABC affiliate in November 1953 and is owned by Nexstar Media Group. WJBF–TV has been awarded the prestigious "Station of Year" award by the Georgia Association of Broadcasters in 1994, 1995, 1996, 2000, and 2003. We are the only station in Augusta with full–time capital reporters in Atlanta, GA and Columbia, SC, three meteorologists, the area's only LIVE Doppler Radar, and the largest news staff in the CSRA.
