Marilyn Vaca, MA, is an experienced media professional with a robust background in content management and journalism. Currently serving as the Manager of Content and Coverage at WJXT since March 2018, Marilyn plays a pivotal role in the newsroom leadership team by managing diverse content professionals and leveraging research to prioritize compelling stories across platforms. Previously, Marilyn held key positions including Digital Director and Multiplatform Content Manager at WJXT, and has extensive experience from various roles at Cox Media Group, KIRO-TV, and other stations. Marilyn holds a Master of Arts in Journalism, a Journalism Graduate Certificate in Interactive Media, and a Bachelor of Journalism in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
