From the day WKYC-TV signed on in late 1948, our team has been committed to respectable storytelling, media innovation and production excellence. We help shape American broadcasting. 

We have a history of crafting groundbreaking programming, bringing storied shows like “Barnaby” and “The Mike Douglas Show” to millions of eyes. 

We are a station with a history of firsts, including the first television station in Northeast Ohio to offer programming in color, the first to add closed captioning for hearing-impaired viewers and the first to broadcast a digital signal. 

Our alumni have gone on to inform and entertain generations by anchoring network newscasts and shining in Hollywood’s spotlight. 

The landscape of local broadcast television is constantly evolving. Technology will come and go, platforms will rise and change, but our core values remain constant:
