Lindsey Witmer Collins has held a variety of roles over the past decade. In 2011, they founded and became the CEO of WLCM App Studio, where they have created over a hundred apps for both mobile and web. In 2010, they were an Associate at Making Cents International. In 2008, they were a Project Manager at the South African Education and Environment Project (SAEP). In 2006, they were a Microbiology Researcher at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. In 2007, they co-founded the Carolina Global Water Partnership and co-wrote a business plan for a water filtration microfranchise that won the Carolina Challenge business plan competition and eventually attracted a $1.8M grant from USAID for implementation.
Lindsey Witmer Collins graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, specializing in Environmental Sciences and Engineering.
