Christy Calcagno

Christy Calcagno is a skilled journalist and news anchor with extensive experience in various broadcasting roles. Currently serving as the Morning News Anchor at News 19, WLTX in Columbia, SC, Christy engages viewers during daily morning newscasts. Prior to this role, Christy worked as the Weekend Evening News Anchor and Reporter at WTVC-TV NewsChannel9 in Chattanooga, TN, and as the Weekend Morning News Anchor and Reporter at WCYB in Bristol, VA. Experience also includes positions in event planning and service at Griffs Place Sports Bar & Restaurant, documentary filmmaking with WKNO-TV, and various roles in student broadcasting at Ithaca College. Christy holds a Journalism degree from Ithaca College and has demonstrated a strong commitment to reporting and community engagement throughout the career journey.
