Mike Winterbottom

Mike Winterbottom is an experienced professional in waste management, currently serving as Regional Manager at WM New Zealand, where leadership is provided in managing Joint Venture business since July 2016. Previous roles include Senior Project Engineer at Waste Management NZ Ltd from 2015 to 2016, and Contract Director at Shanks Waste Management from 2012 to 2013. Mike has also held significant positions at Babcock International Group as Operations Lead for waste PFI/PPP contracts and spent 14 years at Biffa, culminating as General Manager overseeing major landfill developments and multi-site operations. Mike holds an MSc in Waste Management from the University of Central Lancashire and a BSc (Hons) in Geology from the University of Derby, complemented by qualifications from WAMITAB UK.
