Tania Te Rangingangana Simpson is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in governance across various sectors. Currently serving as Director at Waste Management NZ Ltd, Meridian Energy, Auckland Airport, and Waikato Tainui Fisheries Ltd, Tania also holds significant roles as Chair of the Governance Group for the Sustainable Seas National Science Challenge and Deputy Chair of the Waitangi National Trust Board. With a long-standing commitment to promoting Maori interests, Tania is a member of Global Women and the Waitangi Tribunal, and supports scientific initiatives through membership in the Governance Group for the Deep South National Science Challenge. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Maori Studies from The University of Waikato and a Master of Matauranga Maori from Te Wānanga o Raukawa, complemented by education from Harvard University.
