Tony Young

Tony Young is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in various leadership and analytical roles. Currently serving as the Platform Solutions Practice Lead at WM New Zealand since March 2025, Tony previously held the position of IT Portfolio Manager for Field Services Applications at Downer New Zealand from October 2016 to March 2025, overseeing application support. Tony's earlier experience includes leadership positions at Sky Television and business analyst roles at TVNZ, along with managing system performance projects at Essentis Ltd in the UK, where successful procedures for performance testing of financial card payment systems were established. Tony holds a BSc in Mathematics/Computer Science from the University of Auckland and a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Kaipara College.
