Christopher Friedel

Christopher Friedel is an experienced healthcare executive with a robust background in hospital operations, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology consulting. Currently serving in Hospital Operations at WMC HEALTHCARE GmbH since July 2021, Christopher is responsible for the clinical organizational structure and staffing of a 400-bed government-owned hospital in Doha, Qatar. Prior experience includes leading roles such as the General Manager DACH at Bellicum Pharmaceuticals, where Christopher established a hematology/oncology business, and as Regional Vice President at Intercept Pharmaceuticals, managing affiliates across multiple regions. Christopher has a demonstrated track record in organizational build-up, market access, and innovative product launches, supported by a medical degree from The University of Göttingen and additional education from INSEAD and the University of Cape Town.
