Sam is a Senior Financial Advisor whose strengths include alternative investments, due diligence on investment managers, and estate planning.

Previously, Sam was Vice President at Matheys Lane Capital Management L.P., a multi-family office based in Providence, Rhode Island. During his six years at Matheys Lane, Sam worked with client families on all aspects of their balance sheets, investment portfolios and estate plans. At Matheys Lane, Sam led the due diligence process in connection with prospective managers of private equity funds, venture capital funds and hedge funds. Prior to Matheys Lane, Sam was a practicing corporate attorney at Seward & Kissel LLP, a law firm in New York City. There, he represented hedge funds and the investment advisers to hedge funds.

Sam has passed Level II of the CFA examination.

Sam has a JD cum laude from Boston University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Haverford College. In addition, Sam is a member of the New York State Bar. Currently, Sam serves on the Investment Committees of both the Baltimore Museum of Art and the Friends School of Baltimore.
