Emily Kress

Emily Kress is a skilled multimedia journalist and reporter currently employed at WNEP-TV 16 since April 2022. Prior to this role, Kress contributed to Blue Ridge Communications from April 2018 to April 2022, serving as a news reporter and producer of the 5:30 p.m. broadcast. Earlier experience includes writing for Spoon University, where Kress published articles on food and wellness, and working as a lab assistant at Clarion University of Pennsylvania, providing support for media production students. Kress held the position of secretary at the National Broadcasting Society Alpha Epsilon Rho, managing communications and meeting minutes. An internship at Blue Ridge Communications in 2017 provided foundational experience in various newsroom tasks. Kress earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from PennWest Clarion in 2017.
