Jennifer D. Wade

Jennifer D. Wade has a diverse and extensive work experience in the news industry. Jennifer D. started their career at WFMZ-TV in 1988 as a News Writer/Producer and worked there until 1991.

Jennifer D. then joined WNEP-TV in 1991 as an 11PM Producer and held that role until 1998.

After that, they moved to WHP-TV in 1998 and served as an Assistant News Director, where they managed various responsibilities such as scheduling, producing daily newscasts, coordinating elections, and spearheading special projects. Jennifer D. also ran the assignment desk as needed before leaving in 2003.

Jennifer returned to WNEP-TV in 2003 and held multiple roles throughout their tenure. Jennifer D. started as a Nightside Executive Producer, responsible for producing the 11PM newscast and running the nightside assignment desk. Jennifer D. then added duties of adding stories and videos to the station website and filling in as a dayside manager when needed. From May to October 2021 and again starting in March 2023, they served as the Acting News Director. Jennifer D. is currently the News Director at WNEP-TV.

Jennifer D. Wade attended Lehighton Area High School from 1980 to 1984, where they earned their High School Diploma with a focus on College Prep. Jennifer D. then went on to pursue their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English/Written Communications at Juniata College from 1984 to 1988. During their time at Juniata College, they also had the opportunity to study abroad at the University of Leeds from 1986 to 1987, where they explored Literature, Linguistics, and Philosophy. Later, in 2008 to 2009, they attended Luzerne County Community College, studying Computer Science. No degree name is specified for their time at Luzerne County Community College.
