Clare Priest

Clare Priest currently serves as Head of Procurement Contracts and Commercialisation at Wokingham Borough Council since May 2024. Prior to this role, Clare was the Head of Commercial Services and Group Manager - Commercial at Slough Borough Council from October 2015 to May 2024, where responsibilities included procurement, contract management, internal audit, risk management, and commercial management. Clare has also held positions such as Strategic Programme Management Office (PMO) Manager and Programme Management Lead, contributing to the establishment of the Council's PMO and project management standards utilizing PRINCE 2 methodology. Earlier experience includes Project Manager at Reading Borough Council, focusing on children's social care projects, and roles at Spelthorne Borough Council and Save the Children. Clare completed a BA (Hons) in Politics at the University of Essex from 1995 to 1998, and has attended additional educational institutions for further studies.
