Senior Engineer / Team Lead at Wolfjaw Studios

Alexander Macey has a wealth of experience in the technology industry, beginning with their service in the US Army from 2010-2015 as a System and Network Administrator and SATELLITE COMMUNICATIONS OPERATOR/MAINTAINER. After leaving the Army, they went on to work as a Senior Network Technician for Bastrop ISD from 2015-2019, where they handled Helpdesk and Network Operations duties while providing reliable network communications to 18 remote sites, over 1000 staff members and over 10,000 students. In 2019, they joined Ideal Innovations, Inc. as a TechOps Development Lead, where they designed and developed Java applications for contract customers and participated in the entire Software Development Life Cycle. In 2021, they moved to Agile5 Technologies, Inc. as a Mid-Level Software Engineer, where they were designated as the lead on “Innovation Lab” projects, focusing on rapid prototyping and exploration of Minimum Viable Products in new technologies. 👾 Alexander also assisted and mentored more junior developers. Currently, Alexander is a Senior Engineer / Team Lead at Wolfjaw Studios.

Alexander Macey is currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science program at Western Governors University, which they began in 2019 and is expected to complete in 2022. Prior to this, they attended Central Texas College from 2014 to 2015 and obtained an Associate's Degree in General Studies and a Certificate in Microsoft Software and Systems Academy (Software Development and Testing Specialist). From 2010 to 2011, they attended the Ft Gordon Signal School for Satellite Communications. Additionally, they completed the Warrior Leader Course in 2013. Alexander has obtained several certifications, including IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL) from ITIL.org.uk in 2020, The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing from Google in 2019, Microsoft Technical Associate -- Software Development Fundamentals from Microsoft in 2015, Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC) from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile in 2019, CompTIA Network+ in 2016, Security+ in 2014, and Aerohive Certified Mobility Administrator from Aerohive Networks. 👾 Alexander is also in the process of obtaining Project+ from CompTIA.
