Francesca Flamigni Shiekh

Francesca Flamigni Shiekh has a wide range of work experience spanning multiple industries. Francesca currently holds the role of Director, Enterprise & Data Systems at Wolfram since September 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Manager of Enterprise Systems Operations at Wolfram from November 2019 to September 2021.

Francesca also worked at Wolfram as a Business Systems Software Engineer from May 2016 to November 2019. Before that, they held the position of Senior Database Developer, Web R&D from December 2010 to May 2016, and briefly worked as a Developer, Web Research and Development from October 2010 to December 2010.

From 2002 to 2010, Francesca worked at Diné College as the Chief Technology Officer (formerly IT Director). Francesca played a crucial role in managing the technology infrastructure of the nine-campus institution. Prior to Diné College, they worked at Wolfram Research Inc as the Manager of Database Technology (formerly Manager of Database Development and Programmer Analyst) from November 1997 to April 2002.

Francesca's early career includes working as a Database Developer at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics from April 1996 to October 1997. Throughout their career, they have gained extensive experience in enterprise and data systems, database development, and web research and development.

Francesca Flamigni Shiekh has a Laurea in Scienze dell'Informazione in Computer Science from Università degli Studi di Udine, obtained in 1996. Francesca also holds a degree in "A" Levels, with a focus on Math, Further Math, and Physics, from English School Rome, earned between 1985 and 1987. In 2007 to 2008, they pursued a MSM degree in IT Management from Colorado Technical University. Additionally, they have a Certified Sugar Developer Specialist certification from SugarCRM, obtained in February 2018.
