Igor Rivin

Igor Rivin is a Professor of Mathematics at Temple University since June 1999 and currently serves as a Senior Advisor at Wolfram, contributing to the Program Committee for ChainScience conferences. With experience as a Research Scientist at Edgestream Partners, L.P. from January 2020 to January 2023, Igor engaged in quantitative finance research. Previously, Igor ran quantitative hedge funds as a Proprietor at Meteque Holdings, LLC from May 2006 to June 2018. Additional academic roles include serving as the Regius Professor of Mathematics at the University of St Andrews from June 2015 to June 2017, a distinguished BMS Professor at the Berlin Graduate School of Mathematics in late 2011, and a Member at the Institute for Advanced Study from September 2010 to August 2011. Igor has held visiting professorships at Stanford University and the University of Chicago in 2006 and was a Lady Davis Fellow at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in mid-2006. Igor earned a PhD in Mathematics from Princeton University and a B.Sc. (Hon) in Mathematics from the University of Toronto.
