Shaoping Shen

Shaoping Shen is a seasoned engineer with significant expertise in product development and materials science. Currently serving as a Product Development Engineer at Wolfspeed since 2019, Shaoping is responsible for guiding product development from concept to commercialization, focusing on SiC power technologies. Concurrently, in a role at Cree since July 2016, Shaoping oversees the LED Chips manufacturing line, managing product performance and driving process improvements. Prior experience includes positions at TDK Headway Technologies, where process characterization and testing metrology were key responsibilities, and research roles at The Ohio State University and the University of Notre Dame, contributing to advanced studies in ferroelectrics and semiconductor fabrication. Shaoping holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Notre Dame and a BS in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China.
