Layo George

CEO/Chief Clinical Officer/Founder; Wolomi LLC; Washington, DC at WOLOMI, LLC

Layo George has extensive experience in the healthcare industry. In 2009, they began their career as a Lead Contract Compliant Nurse at the DC Department of Health, where they trained over 50 nurses and vaccine administrators in vaccine storage. In 2013, they moved to MedStar Harbor Hospital as an Acute Care Women's Health Registered Nurse. From 2014 to 2016, Layo George worked at Mary's Center as a Nurse Manager, Program Management, leading a $14.9M grant to create a city-wide care management and coordination program. In 2016, they joined the DC Primary Care Association as a Quality Improvement Specialist, Program Management, overseeing population health management programs, team-based care coaching, and policy creation. In 2018, Layo George moved to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital as a Practice Operation's Resident, conducting research on competitors and developing sales and marketing strategies. Currently, they are the CEO/Chief Clinical Officer/Founder of Wolomi LLC in Washington, DC, leading clinicians in providing education and information in innovative ways to aspiring moms, moms to be, and new moms during the perinatal period on a national platform.

Layo George obtained a Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing from Liberty University and a Master's of Science in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Georgetown University. Additionally, Layo George studied Public Health at The Johns Hopkins University.
