Aatu Kaapro

Aatu Kaapro serves as the Head of Applied Science at Wolt, where leadership includes a practice of over 35 applied scientists and ML engineers developing algorithms for Wolt products. Prior to this role, Aatu held the position of Data Science Lead at Wolt, facilitating the growth of embedded data scientists and their impact across various domains. Aatu's experience includes serving as Chapter Head of Data Science and Manager of Data Science at Emirates Group, overseeing data scientists' development and managing delivery across multiple business domains. Aatu's earlier roles at Etihad Airways and Finnair involved leading data science teams focused on loyalty programs and analytics. Aatu began as a researcher and assistant at Helsinki University of Technology, focusing on applied research in bioinformatics and complex systems. Aatu holds an M.Sc. in Technology from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan.
