Ellen Rutherford is a seasoned professional with extensive leadership experience across various organizations. Currently serving as a Board Member for Women and Climate and Managing Director - Americas at Acre, Ellen has a strong background in sustainability recruitment and talent solutions. Previous roles include Chair of the Board of Trustees for Invisible Flock, where efforts secured significant funding for climate-related arts, and Director of Transformation at Star Academies, leading key educational initiatives. Ellen's tenure at The Challenge saw rapid organizational growth, culminating in positions of Operations Director and Deputy CEO, overseeing substantial budgets and large teams. Additionally, Ellen has contributed to the Youth Endowment Fund and began their career as a Project Manager at The Prince's Foundation for Children & the Arts. Ellen holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from The University of Sheffield.

We are also passionate about giving women climate leaders, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts a platform to share their solutions and ideas. Women and Climate is a 501c3 non-profit registered in New York with a growing number of local communities around the world.
