Women Employed
Amanda Sousa is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in development and advocacy for women's economic status. Since April 2015, Amanda has held various roles at Women Employed, including Senior Development Officer, Manager of Engagement & Marketing, Program Associate, and Program Coordinator, contributing to the organization's mission to enhance educational and employment opportunities for low-paid working women. Prior to Women Employed, Amanda served as a Program Assistant at the Boys and Girls Club of America and as a Multicultural Advocate at the Applied Research Institute at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Amanda's early career included a Summer Leadership Program Internship at Women Employed and a Student Internship at The College of Lake County Women's Center. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an Associate of Arts in Psychology from The College of Lake County.
