Women for a Healthy Environment is a nonprofit headquartered in Pittsburgh. WHE uses a scientific approach to achieve equitable lives free of environmental hazards through advocacy and community-based programs. Building healthy communities where children can learn, live and thrive is at the core of our work. Through educational programming, technical assistance and advocacy, WHE addresses environmental exposures that impact public health. Its main program areas are Healthy Homes, Healthy Schools, Healthy Early Learning and Healthy Communities.
