Women in AI Ethics™
Mia Shah-Dand is the founder of Women in AI Ethics™, a platform dedicated to promoting diversity and ethics within the technology sector. Since September 2018, Mia has led a global non-profit initiative focused on diversity, equity, inclusion, and ethical practices in artificial intelligence. Additionally, as CEO of Lighthouse3 since February 2014, Mia has assisted large organizations in innovating responsibly with emerging technologies. Previous roles include Group Manager at Google, where Mia led the online community support team for major products, Director of Digital & Social Media Analytics at Symantec, and Senior Manager of Digital Strategy & Governance at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where Mia established the first social media and digital analytics Center of Excellence. Early career experience includes working as an Associate Marketing Manager at eBay, analyzing marketing program performance. Mia holds an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Portland State University.

The Women in AI Ethics™ (WAIE) is a fiscally sponsored project of Social Good Fund, a California nonprofit corporation and registered 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to increase recognition, representation, and empowerment of brilliant women in this space who are working hard to save humanity from the dark side of AI.
