Bárbara Barroso

Bárbara Barroso serves as a Women in Games Ambassador since May 2022 and is a Demola Facilitator at IPB since January 2021. At Instituto Politécnico de Bragança, Bárbara holds the position of Adjunct Professor since September 2005, with roles including Program Coordinator for Game Design (BA) and coordinator for initiatives such as Project Y and the Game Design Interdisciplinary Week. Previously, from 2006 to 2009, Bárbara was an Assistant Professor and also coordinated the Audiovisual Center at EsACT-IPB. Since June 2015, Bárbara has worked as a freelance trainer specializing in serious games and gamification. Educational qualifications include a DEA in Contemporary Visual Arts from Universidad de Vigo, a Master's in Culture and Communication from Universidade do Porto, and a Bachelor's in Sound and Image from Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
