Women in Games
Carolina Ellis is an experienced leader in the gaming and human resources sectors, currently serving as the CEO and Co-Founder of Tidepool Games, a remote-first studio specializing in immersive gaming experiences for PC and console, since March 2024. Carolina has also been an Ambassador for Women in Games WIGJ since January 2020. Previous roles include Director of People and Culture and Business Development at Interleave, Course Instructor at Vancouver Film School, and Director of People & Culture and Co-Founder at Gasket Games Corp., where responsibility included scaling the team significantly. Carolina's HR career began as an HR Intern and progressed through to roles as HR Assistant, HR Generalist at Capcom Game Studio Vancouver, and HR Manager at PlentyOfFish Media ULC, where established HR practices were implemented. Carolina holds a Diploma of Technology in Human Resources from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of British Columbia.
