Jem Patel

Jem Patel is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in software engineering and game development. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Unity since August 2019, Jem has also held various roles including Software Engineer and Software Development Engineer in Test. In addition to technical roles, Jem is a Women in Games Ambassador with Women in Games WIGJ since October 2020 and a PhD student at Staffordshire University, focusing on AI-driven game balance using Genetic Algorithms and Reinforcement Learning. Jem's earlier positions include Systems Integration Engineer at Boulting Ltd and various academic roles at Staffordshire University, where foundational degrees in Computer Game Design and Programming, as well as in Computer Games and Software Programming, were earned.
