Assistant Vice President, Stakeholder Engagement at Women in Need

Chris Valens is currently the Director of Special Events at Women in Need. Prior to this, they were the Deputy Director of Communications at the Markle Foundation, and before that, the Assistant Director of Media Relations at The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.

Chris has a long history of working in communications, and has been instrumental in drafting key messaging and communications documents for a variety of organizations. Chris has also overseen and managed digital campaigns and social media efforts, and has experience planning and executing major press and public events.
