Claudia Leiva is an experienced professional in domestic violence counseling and employment advising, currently serving as a Domestic Violence Counselor at Women In Transition since April 2019. Previously, Claudia worked as an Employment Advisor at YWCA of Bucks County, where responsibilities included providing bi-lingual job skills training and managing case notes, and as a Social Justice and Empowerment Advocate with UnMundo. Claudia has also held various consultancy and advisory roles, including reviewing grant applications for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and serving as a Gender Asset Development Specialist at Mann Deshi Mahila Sahakari Bank Ltd. Educational achievements include a Master of Arts in Intercultural Service, Management and Leadership from the School for International Training, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Bryn Mawr College.

Women In Transition
Women In Transition (WIT) empowers women to move forward in their lives, free from domestic violence and substance abuse. WIT provides free and confidential services through telephone counseling, peer support groups, individual empowerment counseling, client advocacy, referrals, community education trainings and WAVE empowerment self-defense classes. In the last year we served over 2,500 women with telephone counseling, individual empowerment counseling, and LifeLine peer support groups.
