Rama Chakaki

Rama Chakaki is a General Partner at TRANSFORM VC, focusing on investments in US-based startups led by overlooked founders creating deep tech with social and climate impacts. In addition to being a member of Global Women in VC, Rama serves as an investor and board member at NashirApp and as an investor and advisor for Emonovo. As a co-founder and investor at Mint+Laurel, Rama promotes products made by Middle Eastern artisans. Rama is also the founder and investor at edSeed, a platform supporting refugee students, and has founded BarakaBits. Previously, Rama held the role of Chief Operating Officer at aixplain, inc. and was Principal at TURN8 Fund, enhancing startup portfolios through US investments. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Social Systems from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Electrical Engineering and Engineering Management from The George Washington University.
