Renée Joslyn

Renée Joslyn is philanthropy advisor and strategist with more than 15 years of experience designing philanthropic approaches to advancing justice and equity around the world. Her focus areas include racial justice, gender equity, Indigenous communities, and community-led movement building.

Renée founded Philanthropy Unbound in 2012 to advise Individuals, families, foundations and corporations in the development of philanthropic projects and strategies – including program development and management, landscape mapping, and collaborative fund design and implementation.

Most recently Renée was the Director of Girls and Women Integration at the Clinton Foundation, where she concentrated her efforts on empowering girls and women worldwide. In this role, she advised corporations, philanthropists, NGOs, and multilateral institutions on increasing investments in gender-focused initiatives.

Prior to the Clinton Foundation, Renée was a Senior Advisor at the Tides Foundation, where she developed and directed grantmaking portfolios in racial and social justice, women’s equity, poverty alleviation, human rights and economic development. Additionally, she created and administered the Indigenous Women’s Fund, and the Africa Family Planning and HIV Integration Fund at the Foundation.

Prior to the Tides Foundation, Renée served as the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at the Ms. Foundation for Women, where she developed co-investment partnerships in the areas of economic development, reproductive health and rights, youth-led social change, and civic engagement.

Renée holds a MHS degree from Lincoln University and a BA in Political Science from the University of New York at Buffalo.
