Anita McNew Ms, Lpc

Anita McNew, MS, LPC, is an experienced clinical therapist currently at The Women's Center of Tarrant County since August 2015. Previous roles include staff clinician at Deer Oaks, providing mental health services in nursing care facilities, and licensed professional counselor at RESTORE Counseling Ministries, offering therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families. Anita has also facilitated support groups for individuals with depression and bipolar disorder through Depression Connection Team and served as the Director of Music at Christ United Methodist Church, leading choirs and assisting with worship planning. As program coordinator at Catholic Charities Diocese of Fort Worth, Anita oversaw activities and budgets for outreach programs, in addition to experience as a substitute teacher at Keller Independent School District. Anita holds a Master’s degree in psychology/mental health counseling from Texas Wesleyan University and a Bachelor’s degree in psychology/sociology from Stephen F. Austin State University.
