Mara Alperin

Senior Story Producer & Brand Lead at Wonderbly

Mara Alperin has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2004, they worked as the Features Editor for The Kenyon Collegian. From 2007 to 2010, they were a Project Executive at Emperor Design. In 2010, they joined Little Tiger Press as an Editorial Assistant, eventually becoming a Junior Editor and Freelance Writer/Editor.

In 2011, Mara became the Managing Editor at UK Ultimate Ltd. Mara then joined Egmont UK Ltd in 2014 as an Editor, and later in 2017, they worked at Walker Books as a Senior Editor and eventually as a Creative Commissioning Editor until 2019. At the same time, they also worked as a Senior Story Producer & Brand Lead at Wonderbly.

In 2013, Mara briefly worked as a Library Assistant at the Boston Public Library. In 2021, they became an Associate Lecturer - Publishing at the University of the Arts London. In 2022, they worked as a Visiting Lecturer - Children's Publishing at the University of Roehampton.
