Carmen James

Carmen James is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in operations, fundraising, and project management across various organizations. Currently serving as Co-Founder and Head of Operations at Wonderful since January 2021, Carmen previously held significant roles including Head of Fundraising and Content Developer at Wonderful Organisation from September 2016. Additional experience includes Business Development and Project Manager at WHYPAY? Ltd from February 2018 to October 2020, and volunteer work in Fish Palaeontology at the Natural History Museum from April 2017 to April 2019. Early career contributions involved research assistant roles on multiple marine conservation projects with Frontier/Society for Environmental Exploration from 2012 to 2014. Academically, Carmen holds a Master’s degree in Biodiversity, Evolution, and Conservation from UCL and a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from the University of Leeds.
