Software Engineer in Test at Wonderlabz

Anele Sigenu has a range of work experience in various roles and industries. Anele started their career as a petrol attendant at Caltex Garage in February 2011. In May 2013, they joined Silulo Ulutho Technologies (SUT) as a Sales Consultant and Technical Assistant, where they developed customer relationships, provided technical assistance, and contributed to sales team efforts. Anele then became a Branch Manager at SUT from March 2016 to January 2017, overseeing operations and customer service.

In 2018, Anele worked as a Software Developer Intern at Steltix, where they applied Agile principles to develop front-end interfaces using Oracle JET and built REST APIs using NodeJS and MongoDB.

Currently, Anele is employed at Wonderlabz SA since 2019. Anele started as a NodeJS Developer from February 2019 to July 2020, contributing to back-end development. Anele then transitioned to a Full Stack Engineer role from July 2020 to August 2022, taking responsibility for front-end development using VueJS, migrating features from AngularJS, and working with Java, MySQL, and Spring frameworks on the back-end. Anele has now taken on the role of Software Engineer in Test, starting in August 2022.

Anele Sigenu's education history includes various programs and certifications related to technology and information technology. In 2005, Anele obtained a National Senior Certificate in Technology from Inkwekwezi Secondary School. In 2010, Anele received training in Engineering, Maintenance, and Projects from Empro Train. From 2011 to 2013, Anele studied Information Technology at Cape Peninsula University of Technology. In 2016, Anele completed a program in Network Fundamentals at Spaceage Technologies. In 2017, Anele attended Project Codex as a student, studying Full Stack Agile Development.

In addition to formal education, Anele has obtained various certifications. These include completion awards for Oracle MOOC courses on NodeJS Using Oracle Cloud and Oracle JavaScript Extension Toolkit (JET) 4.0 in 2018, completion of the Google Africa Scholarship Mobile Web Specialist Course in 2018, and certifications in Node.js Microservices for beginners and SQL for Data Analysis: Beginner MySQL Business Intelligence from Udemy, obtained in 2021 and 2023 respectively.
