Rebecca Chao is a qualified Speech Language Pathologist with extensive experience in various roles within the field. Currently employed at Wonderland Child & Family Services since May 2019, Rebecca previously served as a Staff Program Leader at The Church in Seattle from August 2018 to April 2019 and completed a Graduate Student Internship at Ida Culver House Broadview in 2016. Educationally, Rebecca holds a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences, both from the University of Washington. Additionally, experience includes roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, Graduate Clinician, and research positions at the UW Infant Hearing Lab and UW Aphasia Research Lab, with a notable thesis on the visibility of masked items in aphasia.

Wonderland Child & Family Services is a 501(c)(3) multi-program nonprofit agency, dedicated to helping children with specials needs reach their full potential. We serve children from birth through age twelve with developmental delays, disabilities, and prenatal substance exposure. We help children meet healthy developmental milestones through: - Comprehensive developmental evaluations - Early-intervention support in the child’s natural learning environment from a team of occupational, physical, and speech therapists, special educators, mental health professionals, and family resources coordinators - Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children with prenatal exposure to any substances at Hope RISING Clinic, and support for their families - Supplemental support programs include: community Play & Learn groups, therapeutic summer camps, Hanen Parenting programs, Preschool Readiness classes, and PEPS parenting support groups
