Joel Ang

Joel Ang has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Joel currently holds the position of Global Controller at Wonders since June 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Director of Accounting Operations at thredUP from July 2022 to June 2023. Before joining thredUP, they worked as the Corporate Controller at Striim from June 2021 to July 2022.

Joel also has experience at VMware, where they held the role of Director of SOX PMO from September 2017 to June 2021. Joel began their career at Ernst & Young LLP, where they served as an Assurance Manager from February 2009 to April 2012 and as an Assurance Supervising Senior from May 2012 to May 2014.

Joel's early career includes a role as a Global Controls Analyst at Procter & Gamble Asia Pte. Ltd from July 2007 to February 2009. Joel also worked as a Senior Manager in Consulting at Moss Adams LLP, where they served from May 2014 to September 2017. Overall, Joel has gained extensive expertise in accounting, finance, and consulting throughout their career.

Joel Ang attended De La Salle University from 2002 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. In 2007, they also obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission.

Joel Ang has also pursued additional certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. In 2018, they obtained the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. Furthermore, in 2019, they obtained the Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc.

To further expand their expertise, Joel Ang obtained the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA in 2021.
