Beth Peery is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in public health and corporate communication. Currently serving as the Director of Education & Engagement at Wood County Health Department since August 2021, Beth previously held roles including the Public Health Information and Education Manager and participated in the COVID-19 Communications Team. Prior experiences include positions at Cooper Tire & Rubber Company as Employee Communications Manager, where strategic internal communication plans were developed and implemented, and at Owens-Illinois in various roles such as Marketing Communications Manager and Communications Manager for North America. Additionally, Beth served as Marketing Committee Chair for the Glass Packaging Institute, focusing on strategic initiatives for industry stakeholders. Beth Peery holds a Master of Public Health from The George Washington University and a Master’s Degree in Education from Virginia Tech.

Our vision is to provide the highest level of service and leadership to be the healthiest county in Ohio. Wood County Health Department employees work to keep our community healthy and safe on a daily basis through our many services. They help to ensure Wood County residents have safe and healthy food, clean water to drink and sanitary housing. They provide health and nutrition education, disease prevention and immunizations, as well as services to promote health and increase access to medical and dental care. Our Community Health Center provides quality health services to improve the well-being of individuals and families. We serve all of our community with courteous and friendly high-quality primary and preventative health services. We welcome all new patients, regardless of income level or insurance coverage. We also accept most insurance including Medicaid and Medicare.
