Michael Egermeier

Michael Egermeier is an accomplished professional in the field of biotechnology, currently serving as the Group Leader of Bioprocess Technologies at Wood K plus - Kompetenzzentrum Holz GmbH since January 2024, and as a Guest Lecturer at FH Campus Wien since October 2023. Previously, Michael held the position of Senior Scientist at acib GmbH, focusing on scaling up industrial lactic acid production, and served as Chief Scientific Officer at Fermify, leading the development of a microbial platform for casein production. Michael's experience also includes roles at Wood K plus as Project Leader, and a significant postdoctoral position at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, where Michael co-led the CarboFeed project, awarded several prestigious accolades. Egermeier's educational background includes a PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, along with degrees in Food Science and Biotechnology.
