Prakash Sharma

Prakash Sharma has extensive work experience in the energy industry, with a particular focus on research and analysis. Prakash currently holds the position of Vice President, Scenarios and Technologies at Wood Mackenzie, where they are responsible for net-zero scenario modeling and cross-commodity discussions. Previously, they served as Director of the Energy Transition Practice, researching low-emissions technologies and leading discussions on the energy transition. Prior to that, they were the Research Director for China at Wood Mackenzie, overseeing a team of analysts and producing research on China's energy and economic trends. Prakash also has experience as a Research Director in Commodity Analytics, where they conducted research on inter-fuel substitution, renewables, and commodity prices, and provided strategic market advice. Before joining Wood Mackenzie, they worked as an Associate Consultant at Barlow Jonker Pty Ltd.

Prakash Sharma obtained a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mining Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi from 1987 to 1991. Prakash later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing and Finance from the International Management Institute - IMI, completing it from 1996 to 1999.
