Rob Young

Rob Young is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in technology and product development across various sectors. Currently serving as VP of Engineering at Wood Mackenzie since June 2023, Rob previously held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Zonal from September 2022 to June 2023 and Group Engineering Director at Landmark Information from April 2021 to September 2022. Additional roles include Senior Director of Engineering at SolarWinds MSP, Head of Product Development for Global Airport Products at Lockheed Martin, and Head of Software Development at Intransit Software. Rob began a career in technology as a Senior Software Engineer at the Royal Bank of Scotland and as a Software Developer at Database Business Systems Limited. The journey started as a Bomb Disposal Operator in the British Army from April 1993 to August 2003.
