Brent Newbry

Brent Newbry has a diverse work experience in the hospitality industry. Brent started their career at Provo Marriott, where they worked in various roles such as Front Office Employee, Human Resources Assistant, and AYS Manager. Brent then joined Lodging Dynamics Hospitality Group, LLC as a Sales Manager for Provo Courtyard by Marriott, before being promoted to Director of Sales for Provo Springhill Suites, Courtyard, and Orem TownePlace Suites by Marriott. In this role, they successfully opened two new hotels and managed the sales effort for three Marriott properties. Brent also worked as an Adjunct Business Instructor at Broadview University, where they taught various business classes. Most recently, they have been working at Woodbury Corporation as an Area Director of Sales, leading the South Valley Sales Team for eight hotels and achieving impressive results, including opening new hotels and increasing business transient ADR by 16% in 2023. Throughout their career, Brent has demonstrated strong leadership, sales, and communication skills.

Brent Newbry attended Utah Valley University from 2001 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management. In 1998, they briefly attended San Antonio College, studying Communication, General, but did not obtain a degree.

In terms of additional certifications, Brent Newbry completed the "Advanced Hospitality Revenue Management: Pricing and Demand Strategies" program at Cornell University in July 2016. Brent also received the "Marriott Access Edge Sales Coach" certification from Marriott International in March 2014.
