Brian Tan is a Mechanical Engineer with diverse experience in rotating equipment and project engineering. Currently, Brian serves as a Rotating Equipment Engineer and Project Engineer at Woodfibre LNG since March 2023. Previously, Brian worked as a Mechanical Engineer in Training at Norsat International from March 2021 to April 2023. Prior to that, Brian gained customer service experience as a Personal Delivery Assistant at Save-On-Foods, delivering groceries while ensuring exceptional service. Brian's engineering journey includes co-op roles at AECOM and Port Hawkesbury Paper LP, where technical skills were developed through real-world applications. Brian holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Dalhousie University and a Certificate of Applied Science in Engineering from Acadia University.

Woodfibre LNG
The Woodfibre LNG Project is operated by Woodfibre Management Ltd, a privately held Canadian company based in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Woodfibre LNG facility is being built on the site of the former Woodfibre pulp mill site, which is located about seven kilometers southwest of Squamish, B.C. on the traditional and unceded territory of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation). Woodfibre LNG is the first LNG export facility in the world to commit to achieving net zero emissions by 2027. During construction, Woodfibre LNG expects a peak workforce of more than 800 individuals, with over 100 long-term operating positions at the facility once construction is complete.
